It saddens me so much to have to type this. My best friend in the world, Melanie Hartley, was diagnosed with Cancer on January 21st. She is 33 and has a very aggressive Lymphoma, Mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma (MLBCL) to be exact. While Lymphoma is a fairly common type of cancer, the type she has within that spectrum of “common” is a rare type of aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She has a large tumor growing around her heart and lungs.
Melanie has began her aggressive Chemo treatment which consists of staying at Yale New Haven for 5 straight days every 16 days, for months, and she will need a lot of financial support for her family.
Melanie had to close her home daycare due to Doctors orders which was devistating to her. The chemotherapy she is on will suppress her immune system, therefore, she is not able to care for children who may spread germs and cause delay in treatment. This has taken a huge financial toll on the Hartley family and anything you can donate will be put to good use and appreciated greatly. While it is extremely hard for Justin and Melanie to accept the help, please consider donating to help them endure the high costs of treatment, medical bills, house bills and gas back and forth to Yale.
