LINDA MURPHY'S LIVER TRANSPLANT

I have created this GOFUNDME page on behalf of my stepmother Linda Murphy. My family and I are trying to raise money to provide her the liver transplant she is desperately needing. Currently Linda is a patient at the University of Illinois - Chicago hospital on the Walter Payton Liver Center Floor. She was transported as of 2/15/2015 and will be continuing her long journey with the liver specialist team there. Linda is currently suffering from CIRRHOSIS OF THE LIVER DUE TO AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE - which is hereditary and is not from the result of drinking alcohol nor smoking. Last week (2/13/2015) Linda was admitted into the hospital for many symptoms which developed into inflammation of the gall bladder. Due to the severity of being a High Risk Patient, Linda has since been transported to UIC, where the team is gearing her up for a liver transplant as well as a gall bladder removal all at once because of the potential large amount of blood loss.

Both of her parents suffered from this same illness and unfortunately passed because of it. Linda has so much life left to live and the fight that she has put up thus far has shown a large amount of courage and resolve, she is in need of any donation that is willing to come her way. Our whole family is praying we will be able to provide some financial support to cover the costs of the transplant and hospital stay - as well as the very expensive medications that she is currently taking to help with her pain.
