How's it going?!? Thanks for stopping by. I know you all are busy people so let's just jump right into it.
As you know from the video above, I am producing and developing a brand new web series, Mixed Boy Joy, and need your help getting this project off the ground.
Working in the entertainment industry is tough, especially for artists. So many times we got shut down, rejected, or not even given an opportunity. Well, I was sick of putting my dreams in the hands of strangers and decided to put fate and destiny into my own hands. That is how I came up with my brand new 8 episode comedic web series, Mixed Boy Joy.
Mixed Boy Joy explores the journey of Jordan Clark, a lost biracial student, navigating the world as he discovers his identity & place in society. We will learn the eternal struggles Jordan faces and how he, and others, see him. Each jam-packed 10-minute episode delves into the themes of racial microaggressions, toxic masculinity, sexual identity, self-discovery, and the struggle of finding, and loving, oneself.
To get this project off the ground, the Mixed Boy Joy team is conducting a fundraising campaign. All funds raised will go directly to the production budget of the series. There are a lot of things to factor in when producing a project. Camera rentals, sound rentals, lighting rentals, props, locations, casting, hair, makeup, marketing, music placement, and so much more. With your help, I am hoping to get this project off the ground, into movement, and onto your screens.
I want this project to have community support. My goal and dream is to make this as collaborative as possible. That said, there are 4 ways to donate that give you a way to be a part of the series one way or another.
Fan Level: ($10 donation) With the donation of $10 you will get access to the screening of the first episode of Mixed Boy Joy. That's right - before the world even gets a glimpse of the series, you will get to see it first.
SuperFan Level: ($50 donation) With the donation fo $50 you will get access to the screening of the first episode of Mixed Boy Joy as well as a "Special Thanks Credit" at the end of EVERY single episode.
Producer Level: ($100 donation) With the donation of $100 you will get access to the screening of the first episode of Mixed Boy Joy, Producer credit on every single episode, and IMDB Producer credit.
Co-Director Level: ($150 donation) With the donation of $150 you will get access to the screening of the first episode of Mixed Boy Joy, able to Co-Direct an episode with the Mixed Boy Joy Team, get Director credit on that episode, and get Director credit on IMDB.
