We all have a friend in common, Randy and Mitzi Richardson. It wouldn't surprise me if the majority of people on this list would not call one, or both of them, “my best friend or family."
You may be completely unaware, but Mitzi and Randy have been trying to start their family over the past two years. They have struggled physically, emotionally, financially…and privately. They are humble and proud and have continued their path with faithfulness, purpose, and love, even when their desires were not met. They would never ask for help, though they are always willing to give it. They would never ask for favors, though they are always the first to grant them. It is my hope that we can support them during this time.
They have moved through this journey on a rollercoaster of emotions, ups and downs, joy and sadness, all while remaining faithful. Last year after seeking medical advice they embarked on the IVF journey, their only option. While our friends have hit many roadblocks along the way, they have continued to trust the process. They have spent over 30 thousand dollars to date, but it was all worth it when they found out they were pregnant. Yet, at seven weeks they were faced with heartbreak when for no medical reason the pregnancy was determined unviable. They have come to a cross road where they want to continue the process, but are faced with a financial roadblock that they may not be able overcome without a little support.
It takes so much courage to continue on this journey, as there are no guarantees in the outcome. To be vulnerable in front of those around you takes tremendous courage. Please keep them in your prayers and respect their privacy as they try their best to stay hopeful and faithful through next steps. If you can support them in a small financial gift, please know they would never ask, but I know they would be forever grateful. If you know of someone else that might want to help, you may share this with them directly, but please do NOT share it on social media. Randy and Mitzi are aware that I wanted to do something actionable and know I was reaching out to their most beloved family and friends.
