Hello, my name is Jennifer and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my story about an unexpected trip to the emergency vet with our loving family fur baby (Mitts). After being neutered on March 6th, Mitts experienced some medical issues leading to being jaundiced, feverish, and having abnormal blood work. He lost 2 pounds in a week. I was advised by the veterinarian that he needed to be admitted into the animal hospital for a week or more on IV fluids, a feeding tube, antibiotics, steroids, and other medication through IV. Mitts is not even 2 years old yet. Our family adopted him to provide a loving home for him as a baby kitten. As a pet owner, we all know animals are our companions and are very much like humans, and we need to do what’s best for them and get them the help they need medically. Mitts is such a loving fur baby that deserves to have a chance to live. With having both my cats neutered a week ago, I have no other option but to put up a GoFundMe page to help with medical bills. With being disabled on Social Security and working only 15 hours a week, this has been weighing heavy on my heart not knowing how I am going to pay for the upcoming bills. Paying $400 yesterday for just the exam and bloodwork took a toll on my finances. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and used immediately towards Mitts' medical expenses for the proper care he needs, and if you are unable to donate, prayers would be greatly appreciated. If you could please share this post with your friends and family, it would mean the world to us as we go through this difficult time. I want to thank you all again for taking your time to contribute and/or pray for Mitts.
