MItchell's Hospital Bills

On July 29th, Mitchell and some buddies were out at a bar in Costa Mesa, where he and two other friends got into an argument with a couple other guys inside. After the bar closed, one of these guys–well intoxicated at this point, got into his car and gassed it towards the group. Luckily, they were all able to jump out of the way, but moved closer to the building in doing so. The driver, angry and drunk, flipped a U-turn and came back, again gassing it towards the group. Mitchell pushed one of his friends out of the way but was unfortunately not so lucky himself. 

Being struck by this car has left Mitch with a tibia broken in multiple places, a shattered clavicle, a tear in his lung, multiple intestinal issues, as well as bruising and swelling on his brain. He just completed his first surgery for his tibia, but it's going to be a long road to recovery for him and a lot of physical therapy and hard work to get there. 

Mitchell crews on yachts, and while this is an awesome and adventure-filled job for someone like him, it has not provided him with medical insurance. This means that the weight of these hospital bills will only add to the weight of recovery. While he would never typically go to his friends and family with open hands, this is something we, as his friends and family have decided to do to attempt to lighten this load for him and let him focus on his health, rather than the unfortunate financial aspect that comes along with this situation.
