HELP MITCH BEAT CANCER!
On August 21, 2012 I went to the emergency room with a fever
and lower abdominal pain. After having a
CT scan performed on my lower abdomen it was revealed that I had a foreign
growth that needed to be removed, and was told it may or may not be cancerous. Two days later
the grapefruit sized tumor was removed, and the path report came back with the news that it was cancerous. I remained in the hospital for another nine
days. I had great support from family
and friends during my stay in the hospital.
There is a continued support outside of the hospital as well. My
girlfriend and I named the tumor "Bob" for discussion purposes. I was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer
and put into contact with an oncologist.
The next step:.chemotherapy for six months (to kill any of Bob's potential offspring!). The chemo will be bi-weekly on Thursdays. Not looking forward to it but it is the
recommended treatment for my stage. If
it helps me remain cancer free then I am all in! I created this page to help offset some of
the medical costs I have incurred over the past two months. Thanks to everyone for their love and
support. It would suck to do it alone! I am grateful I do not have to worry about
that! Thanks everyone, Mitch
