Hello friends far and near,
On Thursday, September 28, 2017 Misty was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. The cancer in her colon has spread to her liver and at this point, we are not sure where else. She is still undergoing tests to confirm where else the cancer has spread. This account has been created to assist Misty with the financial difficulties that lie ahead of her in the upcoming months. We are all beyond heartbroken and sad with the news and have been there for her every step of the way. She will need alot of support and love from family and friends.
Misty will need to undergo numerous treatments and tests in the near future. She has insurance, however she still has other expenses which the GoFundme Campaign will help support. Medi Cal will cover alot of her medical expenses, but if she needs alternative medicine and just things like special dietary items, this will help.
Although currently employed, she has exhausted all her time off. She does not have conisistant paycheck coming in since she was working as a wine server at Les Marchands, so any little bit will help. Going through treatment will be quite expensive. First there is a high deductible on the medical plan and the increased expenses, but also the cost of her insurance premiums. These items, coming together with her normal monthly expenses, spell out great financial difficulties for her.
Please help us support Misty. She is a caring person with a lot of fight in her. This entire event unfolded over a single week and there was no time to prepare for the trying times that are ahead for her. The amount we chose above is just a number, because we don't really know how much will be enough, so anything you can do is wonderful and amazing, and appreciated.
