Misty's Cancer Walk

The update as of 10/4/2018

Today Her journey and fight to beat cancer still continues.. we are currently in Arizona at the cancer of America trying to seek more help and a better plan for her treatment. For a more recent update the cancer has spread to her liver.. and the treatment ratio is at 20% chance of chemo working. We are asking for prayers that she is part of that 20% success rate. If not her liver will fail.. and her chances of beating this will take over her life.. and worsen her health. our stay has been extended here to further treat her with radiation for the cancer that has also spread from her breast to her neck which is causing her to choke on her food and limit her intake. She has been placed on a special diet due to her neck mass and has started radiation as of today 10/4/2018z Surgery for this is not an option..  so we want to ask for help whether it be a donation towards Misty's hotel/lodging, food, rental car, or medicine.

With your support it would strengthen the will of many others who are fighting the same fight against cancer. I know out there there is always someone you may know; whether it be a family member or friend.

God has a plan for her... HER STORY.. 

In November 2012, her journey to fight cancer began. She had a cancerous tumor the size of an apple in her right breast and was then diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. She had the choice to remove her breast or cancer will take its course and eventually she would die. 

She chose to remove both breast at the age of 36 and has underwent 6 cycles of chemotherapy, over 20 surgeries and 35 cycles of radiation that left her severely burned. 1 month after radiation she thought she was a survivor, but doctors diagnosed her with stage 4 breast cancer with metastatic to her spine; tumors on all levels of her spine. 8 months later she was then told she had 4-6 years to live. As devastating as this news is, she accepted things for what they were and understood cancer would take its course. 

It was through her journey with God that she has found the strength and will to fight everyday. It was through HIM that she discovered God has a plan for her... Despite what doctors told her that she had terminal cancer; she knew that God was with her at all times and she need not worry. As my wife would always tell me to this day... "God's got me.. I am God's miracle, I'm God's Soldier babe..."  

Although she has to spend the rest of her life on chemo she is currently at the stage of borderline bilateral hip replacement and surgery to remove another mass recently found in her neck last month (April 2018). 

I worry for her everyday. Today and everyday after I want to speak life over her. I know my wife struggles everyday but the best thing about Misty is... you could never tell.. You will always hear of Misty's conquering mountains everyday. Where can you find her? On top of the mountains hiking! You will never hear someone with stage 4 breast cancer with mets to bone in her spine hiking. Doctors say this is unheard of. It is truly a miracle of how far Misty has come. This year will make 6 years since she's been diagnosed. Sometimes even the most courageous person we know needs a little support. 

God has a plan for us... 

My life with her started in 2016, I met Misty at church and watched her testimony as she spoke about her journey and fight against cancer. At this time my dad was fighting the same fight against cancer. So her testimony really touched me.  I have never met anyone as amazing as her. When I first met her I didn't expect to find the love of my life who's inspired me in so many ways to better myself and taught me how to love again. She took what was broken in me and put it back together and gave me love. She is truly an inspiration to so many people, and that's why I love my wife so much.
