There are no words that could describe Misty or give justice to who she was as a person. She loved fiercely and wherever she walked she left a footprint in some way, shape or form. Her biggest achievement was her children and watching them grow through their love of taekwondo. In fact, Misty loved all the kids at Royal Empire Martial Arts. She would coach and ref from the sidelines and only wanted to see everyone achieve greatness. She loved life, always had a smile on her face and was always ready for the next adventure. Our club has lost one of the most precious souls we know. We’ve lost a friend, referee, wife and most of all a mother. We would like to stick together as a family and show Kaide, Markuz, Mahkenzi and Malakai that we’re all here to support in any way that we can. Misty’s memory lives on through all of us as we all navigate life without her and try to support her beautiful family in picking up the pieces and most of all showing love, support and kindness because that was Misty’s way.
Sadly, Misty lost her battle to cancer on the 06/08/24. She fought a long fight to the very end with determination, strength and courage. She waited for her baby to come home from Malaysia to show her that he had won Gold for his mum.
If you’re able to help in any way it would be greatly appreciate and mean the world to Misty’s family.
