Missy(Melissa)Gutierrez Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Hi, My name Is Kayla Gutierrez and I am fundraising for my Mother Missy Gutierrez. On April 11, 2022, my mom got a phone call around 11 a.m. that changed her life forever. My mom was diagnosed with Breast cancer. What we thought were just two small spots they had to remove ended up being one huge spot that covered her right breast completely. They did a biopsy and told my mother she did not have cancer in her lymph nodes. She had a Mastectomy on June 8, 2022, and they completely removed her right breast. The surgery lasted forever. Finally, 4 hours later my Dad gets called back when he came back into the waiting room the look he had will forever burn in my memory. We found out they had to remove all her lymph nodes under her right arm due to her having cancer in multiple of the lymph nodes. We finally got to see my Mom a couple of hours later and she was struggling to breathe. Come to find out my mom has emphysema. She had to stay another night in the hospital and ended up getting admitted to ICU because of her breathing. She is home now but on oxygen 24/7. After she is healed she has to have a full-body cat scan to see where cancer spread if it did and she also now has to see a lung doctor. My mom is well known in Scott County she has lived here all of her life. She has worked at O Charleys in Georgetown as a server for 4 and a half years now. Applebees and Sams Truck Stop before then. My mom will be out of work for a lot longer than we thought and we are asking for any help from the community. If you know my Mom then you know she doesn't deserve this at all. She is a great woman. My Dad is a great guy as well and his doing everything he can but is struggling financially. Please help if you can. If you cant just send up some prayers.
