Mission Thailand 2014: Joshua Tyer

Hello world!

Opportunities abound to serve God and further His kingdom! To give y'all a bit of an update, I am finished with school and still living in the city of Stephenville. I feel like God has placed me here for a season to work within Harvey Baptist Church - primarily with the college ministry. This past year God has shown Himself faithful and has grown the ministry closer together through Bible study and fellowship! This coming year I will continue to work in the Church within the college, youth, and music departments. While I am in the Ville I am working as a manager at a coffe shop (Beans and Franks). It's a great place to work with super employers, employees, and customers; and it allows for conversations with students and faculty. This summer I will start managing some property for a couple in church as well.

In addition to these great opportunities to minister locally God has given me the chance to return to Thailand this summer with Mary Hanna Kindred and Megan Tipping to work with the Brittans. While we are there we will split up and do different community focused outreach with the Gospel at it's core! Hanna will be spending time with the Brittans and with other ministries that use agriculture to reach people with the Gospel. Megan will be spending time with Hattie Brittan and will be focusing on helping with an english camp. I on the other hand will be spending time with a couple ministries in the area. I will work with Pastor Ahmeh in the village of Paa Mii for a week and of course work at the farm will be on the agenda :)- along with comunity development and esl, in Paa Hii, Paa Mii, the christian school and the surrounding area.





It is my prayer that while I am there that I will be able to serve the missionaries and ministers that are there and that I will be able to love on and reach the local community with the gospel. I pray that through this God will give me a better understanding of wht the church really is and how to reach the world effectivly with the word of God.

I am looking for partners to support me as I go. God's word never returns void, but my words - spoken without the Spirits anointing - are powerless. I need your prayers as I prepare for this trip.





Pray
~That God would break my heart for the people of Thailand, Chiang Rai, Pha Mii, and Pha Hii Village
~That God would draw me near to Him and fill me so that He can move freely in my life
~That God would prepare the hearts of the people to be open to talking with foreigners and to hear the Gospel
~That God's name will be made known and glorified!
~That all the details will get worked out as I am traveling and booking on my own and planning my own schedule
~That funds will be raised in a timely manner
~For safety in travels and as I am on the ground
~That God will give me guidance for my life as I explore how He wants me to serve Him in the future.

As I prepare to go there is a time crunch to raise funds. While the cost is still in the works it should be around $3,800. The ticket ($2,000) needs to be purchased ASAP - by June 4th! Every little bit helps! Please help out in by joining with me in sharing the Gospel in Thailand!
