Missions Training with YWAM

This summer I had the opportunity to serve and evangelize to the people of Jackson Heights, New York.  This was my first mission trip that was strictly evangelism.  I was super nervous going into the trip but once I got going, I loved it.  I always knew I loved missions and little kids but this trip was really the first time I actually shared my faith with strangers.  It was very clear I had a passion for it.  When I got back home, my fire for dance started to fade.  I was finding myself always comparing myself to other people and saying, "I'll never be as good as them."  It wasn't healthy anymore.  A few weeks later I made the decision to step away from the dance/modeling world.  This was a hard decision to make because I had put so much time into that aspect of my life.  My plan was to move to LA to become a dancer and so quickly, it was all gone.  But just the day after I made this decision, I had lunch with a very sweet friend of mine.  She told me all about YWAM and how excited she was to do it.  It felt like God was saying, "hey you! listen to what she's saying!"  That night I went home and prayed a big prayer.  I prayed that if God wanted me in Hawaii, he would show me.  Almost every day after that, something pointed to Hawaii.  It became pretty evident that I was supposed to apply.  So I did!  And here I am just a few weeks later, accepted to YWAM Kona and planning to move to Hawaii in July.  I know it's a big expense but I know that if God wants me there, he'll provide!
