Missions Training for Cambodia!!!

Over the past 2 months it has become incredibly clear that my path is taking me to a new land. I'm thrilled to say that I've been accepted to join the amazing team of world-changers at the Hard Places Community in CAMBODIA!!!

The Hard Places Community (HPC) is located in the heart of the red light district in the capital city of Phnom Penh.  HPC is there to reach out to kids and youth being trafficked. Their mission is to "see justice prevail, pain redeemed, hope reborn, and life restored in the hearts of those the world deems to be the most broken."

I never could have seen this coming, but I have never felt more certain of anything in my entire life. I can look back at every single moment in my life and see how it has prepared me for this. And I'm honored.

Before I'm able to go to Cambodia, it's required that I receive cross-cultural training. My next step is to go to Colorado to be trained and equipped by Mission Training International (www.mti.org/about). I'm grateful that HPC is intentional about training and preparing the team members before they arrive. There is definitely going to be some culture shock when I get to Cambodia...and it's not going to be easy, so I need all the training and equipping that I can get!

Everything has been moving so rapidly in my life. I thought I'd be able to do the training this summer, but the summer trainings are wait-listed and the next available training isn't until the fall. Since I want to get to Cambodia as soon as I'm able, the April training is what makes the most sense for me. So...I've registered and will be leaving for Colorado in two weeks!

All that being said, there's no way I'm able to make this happen without your help!! So begins the life of a missionary...needing the encouragement, help, and support of an army of incredible people! Even though you might not physically be able to go and be a part of the work in Cambodia, you have an opportunity to join me and still have a significant part of the work being done. It takes an army of people to change the world!

I would be SO honored, humbled, and grateful if you would consider helping me get to Colorado...which is just one step in getting me closer to what I strongly believe I've been called to...being a part of restoration by bringing hope and light to those living in darkness.

Training begins April 23rd and I'll need the training fees raised before then. The breakdown of the amount I'm raising covers the MTI fees for tuition, materials, housing, and food ($3,825)...and an additional $275 for airfare.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you SO MUCH for your love and support. It means more than you'll ever know!
