Missionary John Tinglin's Funeral

Donation protected
It is with deep regret and sadness that I announce the passing of Missionary John Tinglin.

John Tinglin was a loving and generous man of God who despite a tumultuous start to life, would literally give you the shirt off of his back.

As an adult, more than ten years ago, he went to India
to do mission work.  While in India, he was moved to sponsor and subsequently support 20 children.  He regularly sent the children money and continued to have a presence in their lives  despite the distance.  While on one of these trips, he met and married Helen.  The two adopted two children, Lynda and Livingston and he brought them all to the United States.  Both Lynda and Livingston have graduated from high school at the top of their class and are planning on attending college in the near future.  Two years ago, he and his wife had baby Grace in New York.  Helen is pregnant with John's son, Baby Joseph Lalringum Tinglin.  Her due date is September 18, 2017, but John died after suffering an unexpected heart attack on July 18, 2017.

John was an independent contractor with unstable income.  However, to support his children those in the United States and India, John took out a second mortgage on his house leaving little assets upon his death.  We are raising money for the cost of his burial and to provide money for his wife to pay for the mortgage.

John's sister Jeanette Dawn Tinglin-McCarthy has advanced the funds to bury him and we are hoping to recoup the funds to repay her.
