Mission Trip with Team USA

HI! My name is Kendal Faith Wiley and I am from the small town of Quitman, TX. Being from a small town gave me the opportunity to try every sport until I found my passion, softball. There is nothing like the smell of the fresh cut grass, the dirt in your hands or the beautiful sound of the ball hitting that sweet spot.

My love for the game is unconditional no matter if it is a game, practice or cheering from the stands. 

This fall I was invited to represent our country!  I am preparing for a life changing experience...both on the field and off! Having the opportunity to be asked to participate in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic and play softball at the same time is such a honor I have been blessed with.

I am excited beyond my wildest dreams...and a little nervous too.  I am so excited that I can hardly sleep...thinking about putting the USA on my chest and getting to actually play overseas.  This is something that I had never thought was a possibility!  This will also be my first time out of the country, so I have a little case of the jitters.  But,  I believe what I will get to experience  will be more than can be put into words.  I will get to compete against great competition, and experience places and things that I had only read about.  

I am backed by an amazing family that supports my dreams and goals of playing college softball and being part of Team USA 100%. I am very grateful for the sacrifices my family has made in the pursuit of my dreams. My Army brother is one of my biggest supporters no matter where he is stationed in the world. I am thankful for the support system God has blessed me with.
