Ministering to Women in Honduras

I'm going back!! First, some history---In Nov., 2014, I had what I thought was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. At that time, I was honored to travel Central America with Renee' Lily from Advancing Native Missions. We took 12 flights in 16 days and visited 4 missions in 4 countries----actually, just 3 countries---the 4th was El Salvador for an emergency landing......that is a story for another time.
One of our mission stops was in Choluteca, Honduras where we had the awesome priviledge of ministering alongside Mario Lopez. Brother Mario oversees several churches and ministries in Choluteca. Those churches are filled with precious people who, like most of us, need God's love and encouragement from many different sources.
What I'll be doing:
This time I have the opportunity to be part of a team to minister to women in several of Brother Mario's churches/ministries. We will be leading some women's conferences, as well as sharing personal ministry with these precious ladies in small groups and one-on-one.
Why am I going?
God has opened the doors to use the gifts and talents He has given me, as well as my social work education, to share His love with these particular women. God has been sharpening my speaking and ministering skills through my position as Ministry Assistant with Love INC in Fishersville, VA. I have no doubt that He has very specific plans and purposes for each of us on this team to build the women up spiritually and emotionally. As members of communities are strengthened, so are the communities themselves.
When?
The dates have not yet been firmed up but the plan is to go in early August when flights are least expensive. I will provide an updated schedule when decisions are made.
How can you be a part of this mission?
First, and most important, is PRAYER! Please pray for the coming together of the logistics of this trip. Pray for our team, our travel, and that God will go ahead of us and prepare the hearts of those we will be ministering to. Pray also for unity of the team, our health, and most importantly, that God will be glorified in and through us.
Of course, there are financial expenses involved. The current budget per person is estimated to be $1,600-$2,000. Any monies collected above the actual expenses will be used to support Brother Mario's ministries.
