Mission to raise $10,000 for 2 orphanages

Instagram has been an incredible tool to connect with people in diverse places and a thousand miles away.

Free Communication platforms like WhatsApp as well as IG have connected with me with people who are truly desperate and only holding on because of God and a single response from me. Money platforms like World Remit as well as GOFundMe have enabled me to raise money and then send it directly to the orphanages who are waiting on me to respond by a thread. I believe God has truly lifted the veil from my eyes seeing and being in communication on a daily basis with these desperate people. And the more I help the more people reach out. I feel joy, gratitude, yet also anguish as I can’t give enough to sustain them for the time they need, which is everyday.

 

So, I’m on a mission to raise $10,000. There are two (I have revised this from three to two) different orphanages I’m directly in contact with and I probably should increase this number, but right now 10k is the number on my heart. I am working my hardest to be faithful to God’s calling. I want to give money to each orphanage to cover their food, rent, and utility needs for a year. One orphanage has 50 children & the other has 30 children. If (when) I raise this money, they then can focus on more than feeling desperate every single day and instead start to work on things like child development and ways to generate their own income. They need to make the orphanage self-sustainable by having a garden and water filtration system. Without food, however, they can’t work on developmental skills or learning, or creating ways to generate income.

 

So I’m looking for big donations, $500, $1,000, $2,000, and $5,000, so I can raise this money quickly and disperse it to the orphanages. I will disperse it in two or three-month increments because money there is so scarce and people are harassed if they have money on them. I also want to raise this money quickly because it is extremely time-consuming monitoring and sharing GoFundMe’s. Currently, I pay for all fees myself and am donating, but I need help. I do it for God, but I’d love to raise this money quickly and then move on to other items God is calling me for.

Of course every single donation helps and adds up, and each one also sparks hope. Every single time a single donation comes in, it gives fire and light, hope that this will work, and a feeling of motivation to keep going. Every single one. So don’t let my call for large donations deter those who can only give $20, $50, or $100. God sees and blesses, believe me. God says as we provide provision for others, He will give us provision.
