What is "Mission Thanksgiving"?

This is a fundraiser to support our local families and churches to deliver warm Thanksgiving meals on Thanksgiving day and a hot dinner meal to our local church supporting their hypothermia homeless shelter.

THANK YOU to everyone that has been donating to this cause since 2018. Since the inception of our "Mission Thanksgiving", because of all of you, we have been able to prepare and deliver Thanksgiving dinners to 160 to local families in our area. That is 1,600 people! Additionally, Piero’s Corner last year donated $1000 to Episcopal Church's hypothermia shelter on Christmas Eve to feed the homeless both breakfast and dinner. A special thank you goes out to Celeste and Scott for helping in organizing the hypothermia shelters breakfast and dinners!

In 2023, with the amazing help of Saint Veronica Church, Rachael Carson MS, local individuals, US Food, Lou Coletta and, Ben Barnes Mission Thanksgiving, reached our goal and more of $5,300 through GoFundMe and $600 through walk-ins at Piero's. Your donations helped provide Thanksgiving dinners for 30 families feeding 300 people in our neighborhood and 60 homeless individuals at the hypothermia shelter. We cannot thank everyone who participated your time, money and love in accomplishing this goal.

This year, Mission Thanksgiving is asking for donations to provide Thanksgiving meals 40 families and whatever capacity the hypothermia shelter needs. If everyone could provide your donations prior to November 20, 2024 so our staff and volunteers have the time to prepare and deliver these amazing dinners to our neighbors who need this love and assistance.

Mission Thanksgiving GOAL, as stated previously, is 40 dinners at $120 a dinner = $4,800. Piero's is providing everyone with a new incentive for your donation. For every $120 donated, Piero's will provide the donor a $25.00 gift card to be used at the Piero's. All additional proceeds will be used to provide Christmas meals for the hypothermia shelter.

This year, the staff at Piero's will be preparing and delivering these dinners include:

- 15lb Tom Turkey

- Chestnut gravy

- Stuffing

- Mashed potatoes

- Green bean casserole

- And a YUMMY desert to finish it off - A Pumpkin pie

All delivered within a 5 mile radius.
