Dear Brother/Sister,
In recent events I have had an overwhelming change of heart by the grace and love of Jesus Christ. This past school year I attended Hardin-Simmons University as an economics major and finished the school year with a 3.5 GPA. Being at HSU for my freshman year was unforgettable experience and I will have some everlasting friends because of that experience. However, while attending a men’s event called Fully Alive through Elevate Him Ministries on June 1st God began to change my heart & rearrange the priorities in my life., starting with him being first. In doing this God has placed it on my heart to go to Iris Harvest School of Missions rather than going back to business school at Hardin-Simmons University for this upcoming semester.
I will be attending Iris Harvest School of Missions in Pemba, Mozambique, Africa, which is one of three Harvest Mission schools. While attending school there I will be trained by international ministers and missionaries, going on extended evangelistic outreaches in local bush area, living with hundreds of children, getting practically equipped for the physical challenges of third-world nations, and gaining knowledge on how to minister cross-culturally by local Mozambican ministers. The cost for me to go on this trip is about $5200
The truth of it is that I can’t do it without the help of our church made up of brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. I am in need of both financial and spiritual support, whether you can give one or both those gifts it would be a major blessing to me and greatly appreciated. When I started on this journey I thought that the financial deadline would be October 1st, so I was attempting to pay in the full amount by working as hard and often as I could. However, I recently found out that the money is due for me to go to Africa by September 1st, therefore it would be unrealistic for me to fund this trip Journey on my own. Therefore, I am writing you out of obedience to ask for support one way or another and I know that our God is so much bigger than the small total of $5200 in 2 weeks.
By investing in me through prayers or a financial gift you are investing in the lives of countless children and adults living in poverty who need to hear the word of Jesus. If you invest in me I will be sure to keep you informed about what we are doing while in Africa so that you are aware of the ministry you have become a part of.
