MISSION O2, SAVE LIVES, SAVE INDIA!

Hi! I'm Monika Raj, Associate Professor at the Emory University  It is devastating for me, an Indian based in the US, but with family living in India, to see the COVID-19 Tsunami wreaking havoc in India.

With over 20 million now infected, the hospitals in India are scrabbling for beds and oxygen in response to a deadly surge. The WHO reported that India is accounting for nearly 400,000 infections and 4000 deaths every day. Medical experts say that India's actual figures could be 10-20 times the official tallies.

I'm scared to click on the next news story, worried of the horror of how many deaths there will be when I refresh the page. Because of what I know happened in US last year, I fear the situation will get worse before it gets better. 1000's of people are dying every day in ambulances, homes, and car parks waiting for Oxygen. So I've decided to help by sending Oxygen concentrators which is the need of the day on the ground there. They are in a severe short supply. I am collecting funds and partnering with a local non-profit organization in India to procure Oxygen concentrators and medicines and shipping them to the following hospitals:

· PGI, Sector 11, Chandigarh, India
· Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh, India
· Government Civil Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula, India
