On Tuesday the 26th of June we came together, not as strangers, not just friends but as family to say goodbye to Joe. It was a hard day but the most perfect day and it was a day that Joe would of absolutely loved.
On a personal note - I would like to say just how amazing everyone has been. The aid for Ian and Brad in Colombia could not of been done without our viral presence without the help of you. The support back in the UK to family has also been amazing and the gofundme page… wow.
Creating the video was a hard task but also a comforting one. To see what Joe has done when we were not with him, to see the amount of people he has not only met, but changed in a positive way.
Joe. A friend, a BROTHER. This is not your final stage but one of many, I know you are with us now in spirit, guiding each of us. Your beautiful soul brought together everyone as family and each spoke of the amazing memories they have of you and how lucky they were to have you part of their life.
We spoke of how you wondered how to change people in the world for better. Well you have completed this unknowingly - by your actions and the way you lived your life you have influenced everyone around you in every step you have taken. Your positive light will truly remain bright in all our lives.
Thank you for being a part of my life and showing by the way you lived your life that there is far more to life than we know!

Thank you for all your kind and generous donations! I will be looking to withdraw your donations (Tim Smith, Uncle) over the next few days. The embassy will be paid direct to bring Joe home, which is looking for the end of this week, and the rest will be transferred direct to Ian Hussey and Brad Cooke, with the rest of the funds going towards the funeral costs with surplus going to the Red Cross Volunteers over in Colombia. Once we have an idea of costs, we will also update this page and the facebook page the breakdown of how the funds you kindly donated have been used for Joe.

Wow, we are overwhelmed by how fast the gofundme goal was hit, Joe truly hit the hearts of many and his smile touched the lives of many!
We will keep you updated to where your generous donations are going. We are in talks with the Embassy on when and how to transfer the £4,500. We are also awaiting the costs of moving him from the airport in the UK back to Leicester with his family. The rest of the funds will go towards the funeral costs.
We have now hit the target, but if you still wish to donate more – any extra donations will still go directly to Joe’s funeral costs and any surplus will go to the Red Cross Volunteers over in Colombia.

At 11:30AM Local Colombian time on Saturday the 12th of May, Joe was found at the lower part of the waterfall. The search team have suggested he fell. Please give his family continued peace at this hard time. The cost of getting Joe back home is £4,500. Thank you all so much for your donations so far, but if you could still share the gofundme page to help raise the funds needed to bring Joe home and also a help towards the Funeral Costs.

Joe Tilley, 24 years old from Leicester, has been missing in Colombia, near Mocoa in Fin Del Mundo since Saturday the 5th May - he was last seen at the 'End Of The World' Waterfall at 5PM.
His dad, Ian Hussey, is currently in Colombia aiding the police and army in the search. The police will continue for only a few more days and then they will stop searching.
His Dad will still be out there searching and we are raising funds to help fund his stay out there and funding the search.
The money will be going straight into the search itself and will cover the costs of a Translator, Local Guides and Local Helpers. It will also cover travel between certain points of search in the area. We are also trying to fund 1 of Joe's friends to fly to Colombia, who is fluent in Spanish, to assist Ian with the search. Once Joe is found, it will also cover the transport to the airport and tickets home.
The area where Joe has gone missing is very Rural and will need expert knowledge of local guides and the language barrier resolved by having a translator.
We have set up a facebook page aimed at the local area, any help in regards to sightings or anyone knowing the local area would be a great help.
The funds will will be needed over the next couple of days as the official searches begin to stop and the police stop the funding.
