Hello, Friends & Family!
You have all touched my heart in some way over the years.
I am Caitlyn Cohen, and I am lucky enough to have been selected as a state finalist in the 2018 Miss New York Teen USA pageant!
As you may know, I love fashion, make-up, hair and modeling, therefore I thought this would be an amazing opportunity for me to express my passion. I am not only running for the fun and experience, I am also participating to help make a difference. As you all know, I have a severe stutter that affects only 1% of the world's population. If I win, I would like to help spread awareness about stuttering and other speech impediments. We need more research and studies to determine the cause, treatment, and hopefully one day, a cure!! I want everyone affected, to know that they are not alone. This will be my first pageant, so I figured go big or go home!
I am raising sponsorship money, which will help me cover the expenses during my participation in the pageant. This includes travel, hotel, meals, required attire, and the Pageant Weekend activities. I would be honored if you would be a part of this wonderful new journey that I am about to embark on. Donations of any size would be greatly appreciated. Every dollar will help to bring me closer to the title of Miss New York Teen USA! The pageant is January 12th - 14th 2018, I will keep everyone updated with my progress!
The prize for winning is not only the title but also scholarships and grants towards my future in college.
