Miss Etienne’s classroom

When people ask me who I am or to tell them something about myself I always say “I am a teacher”. This is not just a career, but a calling that I take very seriously. In May of 2018 I graduated from The University of Minnesota Duluth with a B.A.A. In teaching communication arts and literature (English). Soon after graduation, I was offered a position at Morningside Middle School in Charleston, South Carolina teaching 7th grade English. I was thrilled and accepted right away. I am eagerly awaiting this first year teaching with my own students.
However, there are a large number of expenses that go into building up your classroom as a first year teacher. I want to make this space amazing for my students. A place where they can come to relax, learn, and be themselves. I also want to be able to provide my students with all of the supplies that they need for my class, so that their parents do not have to pay for anything.
This is is where you all come in. Every little bit counts. My students and I would be overjoyed and forever grateful to you for your donations of any kind to our classroom!
Endless thanks and appreciation,
Miss Etienne
