Mishkeegogamang COVID Crisis

Chief David has requested help for his community to support their immediate needs to combat COVID

There are approximately 600 people with COVID from a population of about 1300.

People are isolated and can’t leave their home

They are struggling with a lack of medication and hygiene supplies

There is limited medical assistance in the remote community in Northern Ontario

The northern store is also depleted with groceries and other supplies

It’s an extremely stressful situation with the number of people sick and living in close quarters

We are shipping personal hygiene and medical supplies including cold and flu medications like Tylenol and Advil in the next few days and will expect further supplies needed in the near term.

There are significant needs not only in the short term but long term to build up the community.
