Gabe's Semester Final Film

The School of Visual Arts handed me an opportunity to embrace a project that attacks territory that very few artists cover, never mind student films, but in order for that to happen, I need a little help.
THE MIRROR is an experimental short film that deals with the relationship of the self and the environment one dwells in. It exhibits ARI, a teenager of 2018, and how she adapts after she is thrown into an empty void with only her self, not having any belongings with her, and how she reacts when she is joined by ARIELLE, a teenager of 1918 who may also be a previous generation's rendering of herself.
Production starts at the end of the month, and funds are slightly short. All contributions to this campaign would go towards all necessities in the process, including but not limited to equipment fees, feeding the crew for two full work days, locations, and post-production.
Though there is a set goal in this campaign, the endgoal is not to meet a set figure but to tell an important story. The story is both universal and one that has been very close to me for a long time now, and now, given what is going on in the world right now, feels like the most appropriate time to share it.
On a personal level, the support would mean the world. As a creative in a wild, mostly internet-based world, generating meaningful content is difficult and dangerous, and a confrontational tale such as this is no different. Any kind of support would show that the content belongs out there, and in turn would make the work even more meaningful.
All support will not only be credited in the final product, I'll personally write a letter of gratitude towards your consideration, and keep you updated on future movements of the film.
