Mirian's funeral and medical costs

On January 18,2017  Mirian Yeseina Tejada was admitted at 5 am to Inova FairFax hospital . Leslie her twelve year old daughter made the call to 911. Once they arrived at the hospital the family was informed that Mirian suffered an unexpected stroke. 
For the remainder of the week her close and extended families all worked together to make the best decisions possible to get her back to good health. As the days passed by we had moments of highs and  moments of lows. She then began Transfers from unit to unit, seeing doctors and specialists still uncertain why this all happened. The doctors found a small hole in her heart that needed immediate repair. Unfortunately she aspirated which then lead to pneumonia. At one point we thought we were loosing her, as she was immediately transferred to ICU and placed on a ventilator. A few moments later  we began to realize that she was regaining use of her left arm and left leg.  we began to get hopeful that recovery was near.  The pneumonia was clearing up and we had high hopes that surgery would be successful.
Saturday evening the doctors informed the family of suspicions of a possible cancerous mass developing on her pancreas that needed further evaluation and testing.  On Monday morning January 30th we received the unbelievable news that the suspicious mass was in fact cancerous. This specific type of cancer is called pancreatic cancer which is a very aggressive cancer. We were informed that she would not have much longer to live. Hearing this news was devastating.  Jefferson only had a few hours to make the best decision on behalf of his mom. He now knew he had two options.
 1. Attempt to keep his mom alive for just one week by using chemotherapy and radiation. Or,
2. Choose comfort and allow her to pass in peace on her own time.
After the family gathered and came to a conclusion. The best decision for her would be to allow her to pass peacefully. Jefferson notified the doctor of his decision and was informed that the cancer was spreading through his moms system. At this point it began to affect her lymph-nodes, pancreas, kidney's, and lungs.
She unfortunately was only given a time frame of two days left to live. Only hours later  On Tuesday January 31, 2017. Mirian Yesiena Tejada was called home to be with the lord. Leaving behind her three beautiful children. Her eldest son Jefferson , her second child Leslie and the youngest Carly. For those of you who know Mirian you know that she is a fighter and she fought hard. One doctor said "Her will to survive was the strongest she had seen in a long time."
Four strokes, pneumonia, a vent,  four different types of cancer and she still tried hard to keep going.
We never plan to go through things like this, but God knows all the reasons why.  Jefferson her oldest child is now in need of all the help he can get. There was no way to prepare for this tragic loss, and no medical insurance to cover any costs .
First we ask that everyone sends prayers to our family for peace and guidance through these difficult times . With God anything is possible . Please if you are able to donate for medical and funeral costs, it will be extremely appreciated.

El 18 de enero de 2011 Mirian Yesenia Tejada fue admitida a las 5 de la mañana en el hospital Inova FairFax. Leslie, su hija de doce años, hizo la llamada al 911. Una vez que llegaron al hospital, la familia fue informada de que Mirian sufrió un derrame cerebral inesperado. Durante el resto de la semana, sus familias y amigos cercanos trabajaron juntas para tomar las mejores decisiones posibles para recuperar su buena salud. A medida que pasaban los días tuvimos momentos de altas y bajas. A ella entonces comenzaron a transferirla de una unidad a otra unidad, viendo muchos médicos y especialistas aún con la incertidumbre de por qué todo esto sucedió. Los doctores encontraron un pequeño agujero en su corazón que necesitaba reparación inmediata. Desafortunadamente presentó una neumonía que complicó su estado de salud aún más. En un momento pensamos que la estábamos perdiendo cuando fue inmediatamente trasladada a la UCI y colocada en un ventilador para poder recibir respiración artificial pero unos momentos más tarde comenzamos a darnos cuenta de que estaba recuperando el uso de su brazo izquierdo y su pierna izquierda. Comenzamos a tener esperanza de que la recuperación estaba cerca. La neumonía estaba aclarándose y teníamos grandes esperanzas de que la cirugía fuera exitosa. El sábado por la noche los médicos informaron a la familia de las sospechas de una posible masa cancerosa que se desarrolla en su páncreas que necesitaba una evaluación y pruebas adicionales que había que hacer. El lunes 30 de enero recibimos la triste noticia de que la masa sospechosa era de hecho cancerosa. Este tipo específico de cáncer se llama cáncer pancreático, que es un cáncer muy agresivo. Se nos informó que no tendría mucho más tiempo para vivir. Escuchar esta noticia fue devastador, Jefferson sólo tenía unas pocas horas para tomar una decisión en nombre de su mamá, sabía que tenía dos opciones. 1. Intentar mantener a su madre viva por una semana usando quimioterapia y radiación. O, 2. Elegir la comodidad y permitirle que muriera en paz en su propio tiempo. Después de que la familia se reunió y llegó a una conclusión la mejor decisión para ella sería permitirle morir pacíficamente. Jefferson notificó al médico de su decisión y fue informado de que el cáncer se estaba propagando a través de su sistema de madres. Afectaba a sus ganglios linfáticos, páncreas, riñones, pulmones. Por desgracia, sólo le dieron un plazo de dos días para vivir. Sólo unas horas más tarde El martes 31 de enero de 2017. Mirian Yesiena Tejada fue llamado a casa para estar con el señor dejando atrás a sus tres hermosos y amados hijos. Su hijo mayor Jefferson, su segunda hija Leslie y la más pequeña Carly. Para aquellos de ustedes que conocen a Mirian saben que ella es una luchadora y ella luchó duro. Un médico dijo que su voluntad de sobrevivir era la más fuerte que había visto en mucho tiempo. Cuatro derrames cerebrales , neumonía, una ventilación artificial por medio de tubo, y cuatro diversos tipos de cáncer y ella todavía intentaron difícilmente continuar. Nunca planeamos pasar por cosas como esta, pero Dios sabe todas las razones por qué. Jefferson, su hijo mayor ahora necesita toda la ayuda que puede obtener. No hubo preparativos para esta pérdida trágica e inesperada, y ningún seguro médico para cubrir los costos. Pedimos que todos envíen oraciones a nuestra familia por paz y guía a través de estos momentos difíciles. Con Dios todo es posible. Por favor, si usted puede donar para gastos médicos y funerarios, será muy apreciado. Carly tiene 9 años y Leslie tiene 12 años y ambas están sufriendo un tremendo cambio en sus vidas.
