Miriam Moufide Medical Fund
Hello everyone,
I am writing on behalf of my beloved sister Miriam, a talented and inspiring musician, who was recently seriously injured. My family and I are sick with worry and hope that some of you may be able to help her.
On Sunday April 26th, Miriam Moufide, also known as Empire Isis, was involved in a car accident early Sunday morning in Kingston, Jamaica.
She was rushed to the local hospital with serious injuries: a fractured, collapsed frontal skull, internal organ bleeding and a broken wrist. The conditions in the current hospital are very bad and do not have the intensive care that she needs.
If you know Miriam, you know she is a fighter and a survivor. She has been making music for over 10 years now and has been a source of inspiration for people who strive to pursuit their dreams. Wherever she goes around the world , she speaks her mind and lives for her art.
Miriam is currently in critical but stable condition. We are trying to raise funds to pay for the Air Ambulance transport from Kingston Jamaica to Montreal Canada, where she lives. Unfortunately, this is NOT covered by insurance. The fees for the Air Ambulance are around 25,000 USD. It is of utmost importance that she be transferred very soon.
Once she reaches Montreal, she will undergo reconstructive surgeries. It will take her several months to recover.
