Desde niña, Mirelis Angélica se caracterizó por ser una niña feliz, activa, amorosa e inteligente. Demostró interés por la música, por la naturaleza y su solidaridad por los más necesitados.
A sus ocho años de edad, mientras se divertía con sus amigas, Mirelis Angélica sufrió un fuerte dolor de cabeza cambió su vida. Un aneurisma cerebral, acompañado de múltiples complicaciones, provocó que perdiera la movilidad, su capacidad de hablar y depende de un tubo gástrico para poder alimentarse.
En este momento, la mayor necesidad que enfrentan sus padres, Miguel y Yanira, es contar con un medio de transportación adecuado para que Mirelis Angélica pueda asistir a sus citas médicas, terapias ocupacionales y físicas. Constantemente, sus Padres tienen que viajar entre 2 a 5 horas cada vez que Mirelis Angélica necesita recibir algún tipo de tratamiento. El vehículo que hoy utilizan para transportarlo no es adecuado.
Por los pasados cinco años, a sus Padres, Amigos y Voluntarios los mueve el amor hacia Mirelis Angélica y la esperanza de recuperación para esta joven puertorriqueña.
Hoy, es Mirelis Angélica que necesita de nosotros, necesita de nuestra colaboración para poder moverla de forma segura a sus citas médicas. Ayúdanos a lograr la meta.
Esta iniciativa surge de un grupo de residentes de Isabela, Puerto Rico (su pueblo natal) que creó el Comité de Amigos de Mirelis Angélica con el propósito de de que la familia puedad adquirir un vehículo de motor adaptado para que Mirelis Angélica pueda recibir sus terapias, acudir a sus citas médicas y compartir en familia. Los fondos tamién serán utilizados para modificar la silla en la cual Mirelis Angélica se moviliza.

As a child, Mirelis Angélica was characterized as a happy, active, loving and intelligent girl. She showed interest in music, in nature and in his solidarity for the neediest.
At her eight years, while having fun with her friends, Mirelis Angelica suffered a severe headache that changed her life. A cerebral aneurysm, accompanied by multiple complications, caused her to lose mobility, his ability to speak and depends on a gastric tube to feed herself.
At this moment, the greatest need facing her parents, Miguel and Yanira, is to have a suitable vehicle to transport Mirelis Angélica to her medical appointments, occupational and physical therapies. Constantly, their parents must travel between 2 to 5 hours per occurrence to receive some type of treatment. The vehicle they use today to transport it is not suitable.
For the past five years, their parents, friends and volunteers are moved by their love for Mirelis Angélica and the hope of recovery for this young Puerto Rican girl.
Today, Mirelis Angelica, needs us and needs our help to move her safely to her medical appointments. Help us achieve the goal.
This initiative comes from a group of residents of Isabela, Puerto Rico (her hometown) who created the Committee of Friends of Mirelis Angélica with the purpose that the family can acquire an adapted vehicle so that Mirelis Angélica can move to her therapies, go to your medical appointments and share with her family. The funds will also be used to modify the chair in which Mirelis Angelica is mobilized.
