I have been given the incredible opportunity to travel back to Accra, Ghana this summer for three weeks!! As many of you know, I went to Ghana on a mission trip in 2012 with a group of students from my church in Wilmington, NC. It was there that God really grasped ahold of my heart and directed me to a faith deeper than I had ever known. It was truly an experience like no other. In full surrender, I witnessed the sovereign and powerful God of the universe use me like never before. Since then, I've come to know an overwhelming sense of love and compassion for people and for taking the Gospel to the unreached all over the world---especially to the people groups that have captured my heart there in west Africa.
Over the years, our church family at Scotts Hill Baptist Church has faithfully been involved in ministering to the unreached people of west Africa--particularly the Bissa people, who are predominately Muslim. Through several missionaries, we have built strong ties and relationships there in many regions of Ghana. This summer, myself and three close friends, will be working with some full-time missionaries in Accra to bridge relationships and serve the native women and children as we share the message of Christ.
Trip dates: June 20th--July 12th
