Miranda Maxwell Memorial Fund

Miranda Maxwell, wife of Jeremy Maxwell and mother of Gideon Maxwell, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 6, 2017 after a three-year battle with cancer. She fought strong and never gave up throughout her journey. She received her healing and her eternal reward in Heaven. Miranda was full of life and loved God, her family, and her friends unconditionally. She was an English teacher at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School and a member of The Way of Holiness Church. She dreamed of being a wife and a mommy and was excellent at both. In her short 26 years, she inspired and touched countless lives. She believed she was born “for such a time as this (Esther 4:14) and was not ashamed to share her faith. She left an eternal legacy and will forever be remembered.Her husband Jeremy and son Gideon, as well as the entire family, have remained strong throughout the battle. Jeremy continues to teach at Buckhannon-Upshur High School and coach the BUHS girls basketball team. He and Gideon will carry on Miranda’s legacy and share God’s love with others. Their story has impacted countless lives and will continue to do so in the future.Over the course of three years, Jeremy has accrued some medical bills due to numerous doctor and hospital visits, medications, and radiation and chemotherapy treatments for Miranda.
