Miracle for Randy Balbarino

Randy is Richard and Roy’s youngest brother. He has been sick since March which was at first thought to be tuberculosis that was also causing his ascites since there was no liver involvement. He continued to be short of breath and have abdominal distention even after starting tb meds and getting a paracentesis. He has been in the hospital 3 times and has had multiple doctor visits. On his third admission, they finally did a diagnostic laparoscopy and biopsy with a peritoneal drain placement. On May 6th, Randy’s biopsy came back consistent with metastatic adenocarcinoma. He is now getting ready to get chemotherapy in the hopes that it will help alleviate his symptoms and give him more time with his family.

Randy has his wife, Raffa and 2 kids, Alex (6) and Tikoy (4) fighting for his life with him. This is really an unfortunate situation and the whole family is devastated. Their mom just barely past away 2 years ago from cancer and they are still grieving from that.

Healthcare in the Philippines is not cheap and everything is out pocket. Between the doctors visits, tests, hospital visits, and the procedures he’s already had, the bills are already stacking up.
