Mini Mobile Homes for the Unhoused

Donation protected
My name is Moksha Osgood and I am a tiny house builder who is working to build inovative affordable housing solutions for those who are living on the streets.  I have been working with a homeless outreach group called Box City SF, and we have recently received a Hands Up grant for $6000 for materials for 10 mini mobile homes for the homeless.  I have come up with 6 different designs all of witch cost $600 per structure.   I am fundraising for matching funds of $6000 for my Labor for these 10 structures.   Each unit takes me about 30 hours to build by myself.  I will be facilitating voluteer work days to help expidite production, and build skills and community among those who are living on and off the street.  I hope to raise $600  per unit for my labor in building and the managing of the building of these structures.

These structures will  be built on wheels, which will allow them to be easily moved around the Streets of San Francisco to locations that are appropriate for temporary emergency shelters.  I have fronted the funds for one of the structures thus far, and I will continue to build as more funds become available.

Illustrating inovative ways in which we can help people meet their basic needs, in a way that is aesthetically pleasing, is key component to creating solutions to a variety social, economic and environmental problems that we face today.   This is a form of practical art that I wish to offer to those who are in need, and I would be most grateful for your support.
