<div><strong>Help Us Fund Clinical Research for Lipedema</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>More Research. More Options. More Hope.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am a woman living with Stage 2 lipedema—and I am also a researcher determined to help change the future of lipedema care.**
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lipedema is a chronic, often misunderstood condition that primarily affects women. Despite how profoundly it can affect mobility and quality of life, there is still so much we don't know.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There isn't enough research.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There aren't enough evidence-based options.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And too many people with lipedema are left wondering what they can do to feel better, move better, and live better.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I want to help change that.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From citizen science to clinical research.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My research team previously conducted a six-week Mind-Body Quality of Life Yoga Program for Individuals with Lipedema &amp; Lymphedema, involving 43 participants.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The program combined gentle chair yoga, breathing practices, and meditation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We saw encouraging improvements in pain and functional mobility, and participants shared meaningful experiences about changes in their quality of life and well-being.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Those results raised an important question:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Could a gentle, accessible mind-body program actually help people with lipedema improve their functional mobility and quality of life?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We believe that question deserves to be studied scientifically.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That's why we are taking the next step.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our clinical research study</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are preparing a formal clinical research study examining a remote, gentle mind-body chair yoga intervention for people living with lipedema.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The primary focus of the study is functional mobility.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will also examine important quality-of-life outcomes, including:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>* Pain
</div>
<div>* Sleep
</div>
<div>* Mental well-being
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The program is designed to be gentle and accessible and can be delivered remotely, making participation possible for people who may have difficulty traveling to an in-person program.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This isn't about claiming that yoga cures lipedema.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It's about asking a scientifically important question:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Can an accessible mind-body intervention help people with lipedema move better and improve important aspects of their quality of life?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We need research to find out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why I am doing this?</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This project is deeply personal to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have spent more than 20 years teaching yoga and have dedicated much of my career to helping people use accessible mind-body practices to improve their quality of life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But I also understand what it means to live with lipedema.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know how important it is to have answers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And I don't want the next woman diagnosed with lipedema to hear:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We just don't know.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I want us to begin building the evidence that can eventually help change that answer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We need your help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Research requires funding, and right now, we don't have the funding needed to launch this study.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are seeking donations and sponsorship support to help cover essential research expenses, including technology, research administration, participant communication, data management, and other costs associated with conducting the study.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You do not have to make a large donation to make a difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A $25 donation matters.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A $50 donation matters.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A $100 donation matters.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>EVERY DONATION MATTERS!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And if you are able to make a larger contribution, we would be incredibly grateful.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser may be just as valuable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You may know a physician, healthcare organization, foundation, company, philanthropist, or individual who believes in advancing research for lipedema.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One introduction could make a tremendous difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Help us move lipedema research forward.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution brings us one step closer to answering questions that matter to millions of people living with lipedema.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>More research.
</div>
<div>More evidence.
</div>
<div>More options.
</div>
<div>More hope.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I believe people with lipedema deserve better.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And I'm willing to do my part.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Will you help us take the next step?</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>❤️ Donate if you can.
</div>
<div>❤️ Share if you can't.
</div>
<div>❤️ Introduce us to someone who may be able to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together, we can turn promising early findings into clinical research—and begin turning “we don't know” into evidence.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for believing in this work and for helping us give people with lipedema something they desperately need:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hope backed by research.
</div>
