Min'na No Mura LGBTQ Campaign

Tax deductible
Min’na No Mura, or Village for Everyone, is an LGBTQ+ Awareness and Outreach campaign sponsored by the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin.  Located in the heart of San Jose’s historic Japantown, we are committed to providing a safe environment, welcoming to all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnic background, religious background or social status.  Our program has started in 2019 and is modeled on similar community and church-based programs.

Our first public program will be held on November 23, 2019 at the Buddhist Church.  We are anticipating costs of about $7,000 (seven thousand dollars).  While we expect to cover some of that cost through a modest ticket price, the bulk of the costs must be covered through other means.  We want to keep our ticket price low so that we can attract members of the LGBTQ+ community who often have limited financial means.

Therefore, we are asking for the help of anyone who would like to donate to the cause of increased awareness, better communication, greater understanding and an expanding network of safe places.
