My name is Mimi Swinton. I am a 15 year old British/Australian Citizen and have been raised in Sydney, with my older sister, by my Mum.
I started dancing when I was 2 and when I dance I feel awakened, powerful and magical as though I am in another world. Dancing has given me discipline and strength that I carry through all areas of my life.

I have been a member of the Australian Ballet's Interstate Training Program for 5 years and danced under the tutelage of Vicki Attard (ex-Principal of the Australian Ballet and now Houston Ballet Director) and currently under Hilary Kaplan & Archibald McKenzie at Alegria Dance Studio, Sydney.

Following a “one to one” global audition by Robert Parker, Artistic Director of Ballet for the world reknowned Elmhurst Ballet School in England, I have now been offered one of two full time places at Elmhurst in September 2017 https://www.elmhurstdance.co.uk/

However, in order for me to be able to go to England and follow my dream, I need to raise funds to pay the fees, which my Mum can`t fully afford. I am asking everyone to please dig deep and find a few pounds or dollars and share in the vision in creating the future of the next generation of ballet dancers in the world.
