Milo's Gender Confirmation Surgery

Hi! My name is Milo Royal. I live around Austin, Texas. I work full time as a line cook. I play in a few bands. I am a father. I am also transgender!
I came out as transgender in 2012 and started hormone therapy in January of 2013. I feel very privileged to have been able to medically transition to a degree, but gender confirmation surgery has been out of reach due to the high cost and not having insurance that covers transition related care.
Luckily, Section 1557 of the Afforadable Care Act protects against discrimination based on gender identity or sex stereotyping in health care. So, as of right now (bar full repeal of the ACA which may or may not happen before September 30th), my employer provided insurance cannot deny transition related care based on my gender identity. So, after a 4 year wait, I will be getting a bilateral masectomy with Dr. Alan Dulin in Plano, Texas on Dec. 19th!
Top surgery (chest surgery used to create a contoured, flat chest) usually falls in the 6,000 to 10, 000 dollar range. Mine falls on the lower end of that spectrum with my out-of-pocket costs being $3,500. I have been able to save most of that money up, but this surgery will leave me out of work for approximately 2 pay periods. This is where I hope you can help me. I need some money to help cover my rent, hotel costs during surgery, and surgery center fees that will be billed to me after surgery. I've estimated these costs to total around 1,500$.
