Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out in a time of desperation to ask for your help. Our sweet cat Milo, only 1 year old, is fighting for his life due to a bowel obstruction, most likely caused by a piece of string he accidentally swallowed. Without emergency surgery, he will not survive — and we’re racing against time.
Milo’s story began on the South Side of Chicago, when he was just a kitten. Maddie first met him while working at a summer camp. This little stray would show up at the back of her job every day to play with the kids — he loved the attention, and they loved him right back. Day after day, he kept returning, and Maddie knew he had chosen her. They quickly became inseparable, and we gave him a forever home.
Since then, Milo has become a true part of our family. He is goofy, affectionate, and the first to greet us at the door with a happy chirp. But right now, he’s lethargic, in pain, and hasn’t eaten in three days. Watching him fade has been heartbreaking.
We’ve already taken him to the vet, and the only option to save his life is emergency surgery, which we’ve been quoted at $6,000. We’re doing everything we can, but we simply can’t afford this bill on our own.
We’re asking for anything you can spare to help cover Milo’s surgery. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to seeing him healthy, happy, and waiting eagerly at the door again.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting us during this terrifying time.
With love and gratitude,
Kelly, Maddie & Milo
