Millie's medical and assistance

On July 5, 2017 my sister-in-law who lives in Wisconsin was socializing with a couple of friends around a firepit. She got up to put more wood on the fire and tripped . In doing so she fell into the fire. She was transported that night to Regents Hospital in Minneapolis with 3rd-4th degree burns on her left hand and she had 1st-2nd degree burn on her right arm. The pain was excruiating. Over the next 10 days doctors did skin grafting, etc. subsequently she was released from the hospital with instructions for a local rehab to change bandages and perform physical therapy. On Tuesday July 25th she had a visit scheduled with the burn center in Minneapolis. In removing the dressings much of the skin grafting fell off . Because of her age (late 60's) they do not want to perform another skin graft. She is currently back in the hospital as of the 25th with an uncertain date for release. The doctors have ordered a "special" glove for her to wear on the left hand for approximately a year.
My brother and Millie are both very hard workers. Social security and small jobs are their only source of income. They have medicare insurance but, a limited supplemental policy for the other 20%. My brother cuts a couple of lawns a week to supplement their income even though he suffers with sciatic nerve issues. Millie has been doing house cleaning which , of course, she will no longer be able to do.
They do not spend money foolishly. Saving for purchase of propane for winter useage, mortgage payment, car/household insurance, food, etc. And, the unexpected expenses like needing a new garage door.....
It is going to be a long year of struggle for them. I am hopeful there are caring people who can help with the medical expenses they will need to pay out of pocket. And to assist with daily issues not yet even known.
