<div>Hello all!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It pains me to even have to be writing this, but here we are.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As some of you know, my Mom (Millie Terrell) recently made her dream come true of finally moving down to Florida a little over a year ago.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, <strong>Hurricane Helene came in on 9/26/2024 and caused some major flooding.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thankfully, Mom was staying with us to be safe, and all is well at our house.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mom's apartment was not as lucky. At one point during the storm surging, there was 4-5 ft of water inside her apartment. Water was above her kitchen counters and caused quite a bit of damage to her belongings and the apartment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Due to the flooding, we had to throw out the majority of her belongings such as electronics, power strips, dressers, desks, end tables, family photos, etc. As of now, the sofa and beds are hopefully salvageable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On top of the loss, renter's insurance most likely will not be covering flood damage (don't get me started on Florida insurances).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you know my Mom, she is not one to ask for help, but will help anyone at any time regardless of if she knows you or not.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'd love to be able to help her get back on her feet as quickly as possible once her apartment is repaired. (No timeline on this, she is staying with us for the time being)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are able to help donate to her rebuilding efforts, it would mean more than you could possibly know.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are unable to help by donating, please feel free to share to your network!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you all so much in advance for any help that you can provide :)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Much Love,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
