Millie Hackworth Milstead memorial fund

We are deeply shocked and saddened that in the early hours of June 11, Millie suffered a massive heart attack at home and was rushed to the hospital. She is no longer with us and will be sadly grieved by her husband Rod and children Tyler, Sydney and Alden.

Millie was incredibly loved and widely known in our community, touching thousands of us through her family,  her neighborhood, as a teacher at Redwood and Drake high schools and as a highly active coach, scorekeeper and volunteer for local youth sports.

Any small contribution you could make would be used to cover the unexpected cost of a memorial for Millie, the ongoing grief, processing and healing ahead for the family, and to help cover daily expenses.

GoFundMe has asked me to add the following for safety and clarity: For those who may not know me, myself and my family have been close friends with Millie, Rod and their children for over five years as neighbors in Fairfax. Their son Tyler is one of my son James' best friends - they attended middle school and now high school together and are avid baseball players and fans.
