Yemen is one of the most water-stressed countries in the world. In fact, some experts warn that it could be the first country to run out of usable water and that this could occur within a decade, Cholera is already spread across many areas of the country due to a lack of clean fresh water.
Please open your hearts out by supporting this a Solar-Powered Water Well for the people of Yemen today. In areas of Yemen where groundwater is so scarce, sometimes the only solution is to build environmentally-friendly and sustainable Solar-Powered Water Well.
One Solar Powered Water Well is costing around £40,000.
Whilst it is possible to build one using a diesel generator, this is an incredibly expensive solution due to high fuel costs and requiring regular maintenance.
A Solar-Powered Water Well is seen as a better solution thanks to them being proven to be operationally and environmentally more efficient. An initial big expense, the solar wells are able to extract water multiple times a day.
Your donations will save lives and regenerate whole communities for generations to come ensuring that no individual has to go without safe water to drink and for everyday essential needs.
Water is referred to many times in the Holy Qur’an and it is narrated that one of the greatest acts of charity in Islam is to give water to the thirsty. Every single drop of water that benefits someone else will be Sadaqah Jariyah for us.
