Military Child Autism Service Dog

Donation protected
This year our sweet 4yr old son was diagnosed with Autism. As a family we are providing him with Speech, Occupational, and ABA Therapy. He has shown great progress. Noah is an extreme Eloper. He knows no fear, danger, or stranger. His impulsive behavior, and frequent tendencies to run away have put his life in danger to many times for me to count. He has gone missing and injured himself more times than I care to remember. We are trying to make our sweet Daniff Dutchess Noah’s Anchor Service Dog. My husband is 14 yrs active duty military and he deploys frequently leaving me back home with our children. When Noah is eloping I’m forced to decide who is in more danger: Our 2yr old daughter or him. Daily tasks such as shopping, doctor appointments, and even trips to the playground have become almost impossible to complete with the fear that I may loose Noah or he may run into a busy traffic area. Our dog once trained will be tethered to Noah and at any moment he tries to dart the dog remains in a sit position anchoring Noah’s ability to gain distance. She will also be trained to block doors if he tried to exit and alert us by barking if he gets away. This training is costly but way more affordable than buying a service dog. He has been prescribed a service dog by both his pediatrician and neuropsychologist but our health insurance does not cover the cost. Luckily we found a trainer named Craig, who is willing to help out my family. He is going to train our dog and has given us an amazing price compared to other companies and trainers that quoted us. He loves what he does and is an expert. You can see his skill and passion when you meet him. We have come up with the deposit but need help with the remaining balance. Husband is currently deployed to Korea and upon his return we are scheduled to PCS. We need Dutchess to start training immediately. Any donation will go straight to Noah’s Service dog and if we make extra we are donating to the Dog trainers boarding facility United K9 Academy Central Texas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please help us help Noah keep safe.
