Miles For N❤️ah

Donation protected
Hey guys, Nor and Ky here.  Thanks in advance for taking the time!  Noah is the son of our dear friend, Melinda.  Melinda and Noah have become family to us over the years.  Melinda is an inspiration with her positive attitude and love for everyone.  She is an amazing example of selfless love and motherhood.  The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and Noah is such a fun loving and amazing spirit.  Despite his condition, he just loves being a kid.  This fundraiser is for him. Our little Noah needs a heart, again!

Kylie and I, with the help of family and friends, have decided to dedicate all our miles we run to this fundraiser.   We are running for a healthy heart for Noah!  We both set a goal of 100 miles.  Thinking of Noah, we know we'll get there quick! We are hoping that you will help us reach our goal and help Melinda, Noah, and the rest of their family.

About Noah:

Noah is 15 years old.  He has a twin brother, Nate, older brother Spencer, and older sister Laurin! When Noah was born, he was missing the left side of his heart. He had 3 heart surgeries before his 4th birthday and had a full heart transplant in 2006.  Noah has been through more than most will ever have to go through in an entire long lifetime.  After his heart transplant, he suffered 2 strokes and years of seizures.  He has been left with mobility issues, an unsteady gait, and emotional struggles.  He suffers from anxiety disorder and PTSD, stemming from the major trauma that his little body has endured.  He is also much shorter than his twin brother, Nate.

To help overcome some of these difficulties, Melinda and her family brought home a service dog, Skippy.  Skippy can travel with him, assist with mobility, anxiety levels, and be a constant friend and support for Noah.

Noah has had to go to California frequently throughout his years for  checkups and biopsies. He has struggled with rejection since his transplant.

Why are we fundraising?
Noah and Melinda  were recently life flighted to Stanford, when lab results showed low sodium levels and the doctors wanted to re-regulate his electrolytes. This comes just 11 days after returning home from a month stay at Stanford.  During their first vist, they learned that Noah needs a new heart. Noah's heart is in severe right heart failure with coronary artery disease.  Unfortunately, Noah is not currently healthy enough for a heart transplant. His team of doctors will take the next 6 months to work on improving his health and will re-evaluate his recipient status.  Over this period of time, Noah and Melinda will have to make monthly trips to Stanford for checkups and treatments.

Any little bit helps right now.  Medical bills and living expenses are going  to add up and we want to help Melinda, Noah, and their family any way we can.  Noah is such an inspiring little boy, and Melinda is such an amazing person who continues to help others whenever and however she can, so now is our time to reciprocate this!  You can make a flat donation or donate per mile.  Help us help her however you can!  We will be updating the page so you can see how many miles we have accomplished!  We have decided to do this through training and/or races!

Thank you so much for you support with this fundraiser!

Love,
Kylie and Norian
