MILES FOR MIKE

In July 2008, the summer of Mike Rathmann's senior year of high school, he was involved in a life changing accident leaving him paralyzed from the diaphragm down. Mike, who had recently graduated from St. Louis University High School, had plans to attend Mizzou on a track scholarship. There were few things that Mike enjoyed more than running. Since his accident, Mike has endured an uphill battle with his health due to the effects of paralysis. Today, he is enrolled full-time in Webster University studying history and secondary education. After graduation he plans to teach high school history.


This year marks the 5 year anniversary of Mike's accident. On Sunday, October 13, 2013 Mike and his closest friends and family will lace up their tennis shoes and take to the streets to conquer the St. Louis GO! Halloween Half Marathon. Runners will take turns pushing Mike until we complete the entire 13.1 mile journey and cross the finish line.


Our goal is to raise at least $13,100 ($1000/mile) to support the Rathmann family. This money will help pay medical bills and other fundamental expenses.
