<div>This October 12th, I'll be taking on the Zagreb Marathon with a very special purpose. Every step of those 42.195 kilometers will be dedicated to Novogradiške Njuške, the remarkable animal rescue organization that gives second chances to countless animals like Ava.

<div>Ava's story touched our hearts deeply. Found shot and abandoned in a Croatian field, many thought euthanasia was her only option. But thanks to dedicated rescuers and volunteers, she received the care she needed and eventually found her way to our home in Madrid, joining our family alongside Benjamin, another wheelchair-bound warrior.

<div>Our journey with special needs dogs began years ago with Benjamin. When he was about five months old, he was hit by a car, breaking his back. Like Ava, he was nearly euthanized, but he was rescued by another great dog association, Sirius from Požega.

<div>These stories of resilience and second chances wouldn't be possible without the tireless work of rescue organizations like Novogradiške Njuške and Sirius.

<div>Over the next 17 weeks, as I train for this marathon, I'll be raising funds to support their crucial work. 100% of the money gathered, regardless of the total amount, will go directly to Novogradiške Njuške. This fundraiser is solely for their benefit, to support their ongoing efforts in animal rescue and care. Every euro donated will help them continue their vital work, saving lives, providing medical care, and finding loving homes for animals who others might give up on. We're committed to full transparency in this process.

<div>12. listopada ove godine, sudjelovat ću u Zagrebačkom maratonu s posebnom svrhom. Svaki korak od 42,195 kilometara tijekom maratona bit će posvećen Novogradiškim Njuškama, izvanrednoj organizaciji za spašavanje životinja koja pruža drugu priliku nezbrojnim životinjama poput Ave.

<div>Avina priča nas je duboko dirnula. Pronađena ustrijeljena i napuštena, mnogi su mislili da je eutanazija jedina opcija. No zahvaljujući predanim spasiocima i volonterima, dobila je potrebnu njegu i na kraju pronašla put do našeg doma u Madridu, pridruživši se našoj obitelji uz Benjamina, još jednog četveronožnog borca u kolicima.

<div>Naše putovanje sa psima s posebnim potrebama započelo je prije nekoliko godina s Benjaminom. Kada je imao oko pet mjeseci, udario ga je automobil i slomio mu leđa. Poput Ave, i on je gotovo bio eutanaziran, no spasila ga je druga sjajna udruga za pse, Sirius iz Požege.

<div>Tijekom sljedećih 17 tjedana, dok se pripremam za ovaj maraton, prikupljat ću sredstva za podršku u njihovom radu. 100% prikupljenog novca, bez obzira na ukupni iznos, ići će izravno Novogradiškim Njuškama. Ovo prikupljanje sredstava je isključivo za njihovu dobrobit, kako bi se podržali njihovi kontinuirani napori u spašavanju i brizi za životinje. Svaka donacija pomoći će im da nastave spašavati živote, pružati medicinsku skrb i pronalaziti domove pune ljubavi za životinje koje bi drugi možda odbacili. Predani smo potpunoj transparentnosti u ovom procesu.
