Miles For Malaria
I'm raising money for the Against Malaria Foundation (AMF) and decided to do a monumental ride proportional to the amount donated before starting the ride. I ended up having to ride 752km almost all on the Nundah Criterium track and rode it in 24.5hrs with 23hrs spent on the bike.
AMF is regarded by many experts to be the highest-impact, most cost-effective charity in the world. Malaria still kills over 400,000 people annually, mostly children under 5 in sub-Saharan Africa. AMFA makes and distributes bed nets that protect these communities against malaria-carrying mosquitoes. For more info see https://www.givewell.org/charities/amf
