Miles and Sherry's Medical Fund

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. Over the past few years, my family has fallen into some incredibly unfortunate circumstances. We previously had a fundraising page set up that was very successful, but it is no longer active. After a ton of requests from our friends and family, I'm creating another account to accept donations. We appreciate any and all help we've received and continue to receive, and are honored that so many people have continuously reached out offering to help. Only a few years ago, my mom (Sherry) was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went through an incredibly challenging battle, but successfully made it out on the other side, stronger than ever before.
Unfortunately, despite this victory, our medical perils were far from over. As my mom was recovering from chemotherapy and several surgeries, we received the news that my stepdad, Miles, had metastatic lung cancer that had spread to his bones as well as his brain. We were told that his condition was terminal, but we were prepared to fight back as hard as possible. We dove head-first into this challenge feeling confident that we were a family of cancer experts.
Miles has gone through several surgeries, many grueling rounds of chemotherapy, and a ton of radiation. Even when he's felt horrible, he has insisted on still going to work every day he possibly can. He's impressed all of his doctors and nurses with his ability to push through obstances and bounce back from setbacks.
It's no secret that the cost of cancer treatment is exorbitant, and unfortunately, no amount of income or savings can really prepare you for the financial burden of these medical costs. It's for this reason that our friends have continued to ask us to reactivate a fundraising page like this. If you are unable to donate financially, your friendship and kind words are just as valuable. Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to get in contact with my mom and Miles.
