Milena's Medical Fund

Late June 2017, our dear friend Milena Keys found out after having minor abdominal pain checked by her doctor and a visit to the ER, that she has cancer.  She was immediately admitted into the hospital only to learn that doctors here in Knoxville, TN could not give her an exact diagnosis.  She found a specialist at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas and begun the lengthy process of trying to find an exact diagnosis.  After nearly 2 months of tests and procedures, she was finally on her way to a diagnosis.  Fast forward to November 2017, after months of missing work, doctor’s visits, a couple hospital stays, and two trips to Houston, she now has a diagnosis.  The cancer she has is rare and was very difficult to locate.  The diagnosis was the first step to get a targeted treatment plan, but the entire process has been overwhelming.  To all of us that know Milena, we know how private and humble she is, which is why we volunteered to help collect donations. 

For all of us that know her, know that she is a friend and sister for life.  Milena has an infectious personality of kindness and humor.  We ask for your donation so Milena can focus her energy on healing as opposed to how to pay for necessary treatment and resulting financial burdens. Any amount will help.  Let’s pitch in to help her with these medical bills, because she would do the same for us.  A little love and support can go a long way.
