Milagros's Hurricane Relief Fund



Hi my name is Albert I've created this fund to help my mother rebuild her home in Puerto Rico. As you all know by now, Hurricane Maria hit back in September, devastating the entire island of Puerto Rico. Luckily, my mother was not there when the hurricane hit, but unfortunately like the rest of the island her house was not spared. When her and my father went to Puerto Rico to assess the damage they saw that the entire roof had been torn off the house, along with the front porch. The garage had been completely destroyed as well.

My mother was completely devastated to see the damage that had been done to her house. She had put years of time and hard work, along with her own finances into restoring the house that was inherited from her father. She planned to make this her retirement home where all her family could come to visit, and enjoy the house.

Unfortunately, my mother did not have house insurance at the time and was denied FEMA aid when she applied a month after. This is why I am creating a fund to help her pay for some of the damage on the house.

My mother is such a loving and amazing person, who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. I never met a more hardworking and dedicated woman than her. Till this day, she still works seven days a week. To my sister and I she embodies the likes of wonder woman and super woman combined. She is the backbone of our family, but now she needs our help.

So, my sister and I are asking all our family and friends to open up not only their hearts, but their wallets. Any amount helps, so please give whatever you can afford; even if it"s a dollar, is a dollar that brings us closer to our overall goal. We want to thank you all in advance for your kind generosity. I know my mother will be extremely thankful too.
